Turn the bag in such a way seams do not fall on the portion below the knee.
Draft is placed on the bias bag as shown in the figure and pattern pieces are cut.
The green dotted line is the stitching line on the bag,behind the draft
Practice preparing the bias bag with some waste material and then do the actual one.

my tailoring teacher says normal pant material is not enough for cutting a gathering pant. we have to do some patchwork in that. pls explain that too. I am very eager to learn how to stitch gathering pant.
I am struggling to cut and sew a chudi bottom by using a bias bag. The second part's link ('Method of cutting chudidar continued') is not working in your blog. Pls check.

I saw the older post but for chudidhar when we are stitching we are not able to get the correct finishing and it is slightly tight below the knee and the material is tending to tear . i need more gathers at the bottom . what to have i chudidhar ( like the one we get from shop ) . Please suggest me
If you want more gathers near the ankle keep the length more.if it is tight at the knee draw an other line
parallel to the original line 1/2"out side taper and join near the seat.

I tried but not getting the good finish and the material near the knee postion is very tight and if we take outer the chudidhar is very loose and not getting the correct finish . sorry,I you could suggest it will better or video ( you tube )of chudidhar will be better Once again sorry .

How many yards/meters should I buy for a simple kameez and chudidhar? My height is 165cms and average built. What fabrics would work? Would finewale corduroy work? Or should I get knit? Thanks again.
